Orders & Shipping to the European Union after BREXIT
From 01 January 2021, the United Kingdom ended the BREXIT Transition Period and officially left the European Union. What does this mean for EU customers purchasing from TILT Makeup in the UK?
Purchases are now treated as imports, similar to buying from any country outside the European Union. For orders with a goods value above £135.00, you may be required to pay import VAT/TVA/MwSt/IVA and any applicable customs duties, depending on the regulations of your country.
To make the process easier, for some EU countries, we pre-pay the import VAT and duties on your behalf. If this service applies to your destination, the total price you pay at checkout includes all relevant taxes and duties. This means there will be no additional charges when your parcel arrives, and delivery should proceed without delay.
For countries where pre-paid customs is not available, you will be responsible for paying any import charges directly to your local tax or customs authorities.
If your order is being shipped to a business address rather than an individual, we will require your EORI number to complete the necessary export documentation.
Important Reminder for Qualifying Destinations:
If your destination qualifies for pre-paid customs, and you later need to provide proof to your local tax authorities that TILT Makeup paid the import tax and duties on your behalf, it is very important that you keep all the labels on the outer packaging of your parcel. These labels serve as the only proof that the taxes were paid by us. Unfortunately, we are unable to reprint or re-send these labels if they are misplaced.
